Victoria Film Festival:  Feb 5-14, 2016

The Victoria Film Festival brings the world to Victoria’s door by programming a diverse selection of Canadian and international films. We support the practice of all media artists with particular focus on Canadian independent media artists through exhibition of their work. The Victoria Film Festival ensures the vitality and continued excellence of media arts in the Victoria region by providing a complete survey of film and media art to the community.

Victoria Highland Games and Celtic FestivalMay 21-23, 2016.

For the Scots and Celtic lovers, and those who love a good party!   The 152nd Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival will feature an inaugural third day of events in 2016 and will take place on May 21 – 23 at Topaz Park. 

On Saturday and Sunday gates are open from 9am to 7pm.
Monday gates are open from 9am to 5pm.

Swiftsure International Yacht Race: May 26-30, 2016

The Royal Victoria Yacht Club brings you the Swiftsure International Yacht Race, the premier long distance sailing race in the Pacific Northwest, showcasing three overnight race courses and a day-long race course.  With the start line off the beautiful waterfront of Victoria, BC, and racing in the Strait of Juan de Fuca with its rugged coastline and challenging winds and currents, this is a must for all sailors young and old. 

Victoria Jazz Festival:  June 24 - July 3, 2016

For jazz and blues lovers this is one of the highlights of the year. The full line up of world-class musicians will be announced at the end of April – book now!!

Victoria Canada Day Celebrations:  July 1, 2016

Canada Day is always an incredible celebration in Victoria, BC! Victoria Celebrates Canada plans an exciting line-up of family friendly events, main stage performances, multicultural cuisine, and spectacular fireworks over Victoria's Inner Harbour.

Saturday Night Fireworks at The Butchart Gardens:  
 July 2 - September 3, 2016

All ten summer Saturday nights feature a jaw-dropping, dazzling firework show with both aerial and ground displays choreographed to show tunes.

Victoria Symphony Splash:  July 31, 2016

On Sunday, July 31st, 2016, tens of thousands of people will take to Victoria's inner Harbour for the 27th annual Victoria Symphony Splash.
From a floating stage in the inner Harbour, Maestra Tania Miller, the orchestra and special guests will perform, ending with a grand finale performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture - with fireworks of course!

Victoria Dragon Boat Festival:  August 13-14, 2016

One of Victoria's most popular summer events, the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival is a remarkable combination of culture and sport. Showcasing our world-renowned inner harbour, this is the only dragon boat festival in North America to take place in a working harbour.

Victoria Fringe Festival:  August 27-September 6, 2016

Join us for 11 days of uncensored, untamed and uncut live comedy, drama, dance, magic, music, spoken word, and physical theatre this summer. Now announcing our lineup of over 300 performances of 50 shows at 11 venues, free events and much more.  This world renowned, the Fringe Theatre Festival happens all over the world – from Edinburgh to Toronto.

Victoria Classic Boat Festival:  September 4-6, 2015

This three-day festival in Victoria's Inner Harbour brings together one of the largest and most beautiful collections of classic boats in the Pacific Northwest.  Along with the exhibition of these beautiful boats, the waterfront delivers a lively combination of incredible local food, live entertainment, music, demonstrations and displays. The Victoria Classic Boat Festival has all the elements of a summer celebration by the sea.
