Vancouver Island Maps
Vancouver Island is about 300 miles long, 60 miles wide. It has a wide East coast plain but is mountainous in the centre. Fiords dissect the Western coast but it has some marvelous beaches for example in Pacific Rim National Park near Tofino. 
Driving Times from Victoria to:
Vancouver 4 hrs including ferry.
Duncan 1 hr 15 min
Nanaimo 1 hr 30 min
Courteney 3 hrs 30min
Campbell River 4 hrs
Port Hardy 6 hrs 30 min
Tofino 5 hrs
Sooke 1 hr 15 min
Port Renfrew 2 hrs
From Seattle
Drive North on I5 (Interstate 5) towards Vancouver. After going through customs in Canada the road becomes Highway 99. Watch for signs to the Victoria Ferry which is at Tswaassen.
Here you drive on the ferry and enjoy a 1.5 hour cruise through the beautiful Gulf Islands and disembark at Sidney (Schwartz Bay) then drive South on Highway 17 to Victoria.
Highway 17 becomes Blanshard St in Victoria and at the end of it you must curve right onto Belleville St. Follow Belleville St to the end where you will see the Admiral Inn.
